Taymor Industries Ltd (“we” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy and safeguarding the personal information in our custody or control. This Privacy Policy tells you how we collect, use, store, transfer and disclose your personal information. By providing your information, you agree to your personal information being processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy, as amended from time to time.

Information we collect

We collect some information which is not attributable to an identifiable individual. For example, when you visit www.taymor.ca (the “Website”), our web server automatically recognizes only your computer's domain name, but not your email address or any other information that identifies you personally. This renders your visit virtually anonymous, unless you volunteer your personal information in connection with your visit or purchase.

We may also collect anonymous aggregate information on what pages you access or visit. The aggregate information we collect is used for many different purposes in order to serve you better. Among these purposes is to improve the content of the Website and to customize the content and/or layout of the Website for each individual visitor.

Collection of personal information

When you make a purchase or create an account on our Website, we may ask you for the following personal information to complete your request: name, last name, address and email address. Also, if you place an order over the phone, our customer service team may also ask for your credit card information to fulfill your order.

We may also ask you for your name and email address to create your Website account profile for our My Projects service. The My Projects feature allows you to add products to a project list in your account.

Our collection of personal information is limited to that which is reasonable under the circumstances, and we only collect your personal information with your consent.

How we may use your personal information

We use personal information for the purposes stated or implied at the time of collection, including for the following purposes:

  • confirming your identity
  • responding to your inquiries
  • to meet the legal and regulatory requirements applicable to us
  • processing product related complaints
  • fulfilling product orders, and
  • marketing of our products and services to you, as well as those of our affiliates and third parties.

We may otherwise use your personal information where permissible by law, for example to respond to an emergency, or in the course of an investigation into illegal behavior.

Anti-spam

Where applicable, we will seek your express consent to contact you, including by way of commercial electronic messages. You can unsubscribe at any time from receiving commercial electronic messages by following the instructions in the message.

Even if you have opted out of receiving marketing communications from us, please be aware that we may still contact you for other purposes. For example, we may contact you to provide communications you have consented to receive, regarding the products or services we provide to you, or if you contact us with an inquiry.

Transfers and disclosures of personal information

We will not disclose personal information to any external organization without your consent unless we are required or permitted to do so by law, including in the event of a corporate amalgamation, reorganization, change of control or sale.

Your personal information may be stored, processed or otherwise used by us, our affiliates or our service providers, both inside and outside Canada. As a result, that country's courts, governments or law enforcement agencies could obtain disclosure of your information in accordance with that country's laws. Whenever we hire other organizations to provide support services, they will be required to conform to our privacy standards and to allow us to audit them for compliance.

Security and retention

We take all reasonable steps to protect the security and confidentiality of your personal information. We protect the personal information within our custody or control with appropriate organizational, technological and physical safeguards.

We store personal information in electronic and physical files that are secure, and our security measures include secure on- and off-site storage, restricted access to records and data processing equipment, password protocols, and encryption and security software.  We conduct audits and monitor compliance with our privacy practices.

We only retain personal information for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. When we no longer are required to retain the information, we will destroy, erase, or de-identify the information. Legal requirements, however, may require us to retain some or all of the personal information we hold for a period of time that is longer than that for which we might otherwise hold.

Cookies

We may use "cookie" technology to obtain non-personal information from visitors to the Website. Cookies are pieces of information stored on a user's computer by a website so preferences are remembered on future requests. Pixel tags (also known as web bugs, web beacons, clear/invisible/tracker GIFs) are signals sent from certain websites or e-mails used to pass certain information to our servers to personalize the Website and to track your usage. We do not save personal information on cookies or through use of pixel tags without your permission. Rather, cookies and pixel tags are used to optimize the performance and functionality of the Website, and to personalize the Website for you and present you with content and offers specific to your interests.

Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but can be configured not to accept them or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. We do not extract personal information in this process nor do we provide this information to third parties. Cookies allow us to customize your user interface to speed up the navigation process and to make the Website experience more efficient. If your browser is configured to reject cookies, you will not be able to use the features of the Website. When you log in, a cookie can tell us whether you've visited us before or are a new visitor. We do use the cookie to help us identify Website features in which you have the greatest interest, so that we can provide you with more of what you want.

Third party vendors may also use cookies to serve you ads based on your visit to the Website or other websites. You may opt out of other third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting their website, and/or by visiting http://youradchoices.ca/choices/.

Analytics

We may also use third-party service providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Website. Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google Inc. (“Google”) that tracks, monitors and reports traffic on our Website. Google tracks information like (i) your IP address; (ii) the type of web browser and operating system being used; (iii) the pages of the Website that you visit; and (iv) other websites you may have visited before visiting our Website. Google may also transfer this information to other third parties where they are required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on their behalf.

You can opt-out of having your activity on the Website made available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about a visit’s activity. Account
We collect, and associate with your account, information like your name, email address, phone number, payment info, physical address, and account activity.

Information Collection and Use

1) Information You Give Us
Personal Information collected based on your use of the Services.  When you use the Services, we collect Personal Information that you may provide about yourself, such as user-name, as well as Personal Information about other people who have access to your Products, such as other family members, guests, and service providers like gardeners, house cleaners and/or others (“Invitees”).  For example, you may include email addresses and telephone numbers of Invitees who you are allowing to access your Products.  We may ask for access to your contact list, and you may consent to provide access to such list, which includes Personal Information. 

We collect Personal Information that you may include in help requests, customer service correspondence and/or in any feedback, you send to us.  We also collect Personal Information included in messages that you may send from within the App whether those messages are sent to us, an Invitee, or a third party.

Also, if you enable the Auto-Unlock feature, the App will request your consent in order to track your location in order to determine when your App nears Products that you have permission to access (e.g., when you are near home). Location information will only be stored on your device, and not on our servers. This information will tell your mobile device to start listening for your lock more often (increasing the polling). This improves the device’s performance and saves your mobile device’s battery life.

2) Usage Information
We collect non-personal information that does not individually identify you. It includes non-personal statistical information about your internet connection, the equipment that you use to access our Services, and how you use our Services. We refer to this information as “Usage Information” (collectively, Usage Information). This information allows us to optimize the Services to the internet connections and equipment that are used to visit our website. For instance, we may collect information on how long you use the Services, on whether you have used the Services before and on how many occasions, how frequently you use the Services, and at what points you exit the Services to make the Services better. 

3) Cookies and other technologies
We use technologies like cookies and pixel tags to provide, improve, protect and promote our Services. For example, cookies help us with things like remembering your username for your next visit, understanding how you are interacting with our Services, and improving them based on that information. You can set your browser to not accept cookies, but this may limit your ability to use the Services. If our systems receive a DNT:1 signal from your browser, we'll respond to that signal as outlined here.
 

Sharing With whom

1) Third-party Service Providers
We may use third-party service providers in order to efficiently provide our Services to you. These services include such things as cloud service provider and credit card payment processing. Some third-party service providers will collect information directly from you and provide us with relevant data (such as credit card companies). We may use this information to carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into (for instance, to collect any authorized fees). Information collected from these third-party services is governed by their privacy policies. You should view the privacy policies of third-party service providers before providing information to them. Even though we do not collect or disclose your Personal Information for these purposes without your consent.  

2) Sharing Service
We do not share your Personal Information or content with other companies, organizations or individuals other than Taymor app except in the circumstances described here:

( 1 ) When you agreed to the sharing
Some Services may provide features that allow you to share your content with other users or to make it public. Only when you agreed to the sharing, we may according your used to share your Personal Information or your content on Taymor Protect (like Project content, Dashboard, chart ). Please consider carefully what you choose to share or make public as you are entirely responsible for the content that you share.

( 2 ) Taymor Protect Organization Account administrator
If you are a user of Organization Account, your administrator may have the ability to access and control your Taymor protect Organization Account. Please refer to your organization's internal policies if you have questions about this. If you are not a Taymor Protect Organization Account user but interact with a Taymor Protect Organization Account user (by, for example, joining a shared project or accessing stuff shared by that user), members of that organization may be able to view the name, email address, profile picture, and IP address that was associated with your account at the time of that interaction.

( 3 ) Business Transfers
As we develop our business, we might sell or buy businesses or assets. In the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution or similar event, Personal Data may be part of the transferred assets. We will notify you (like send an email), any business deal and list out what you can do about the event.

Law & Order. 
We may disclose your information to third parties if we determine that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to (a) comply with the law; (b) protect any person from death or serious bodily injury; (c) prevent fraud or abuse of Dropbox or our users; or (d) protect Taymor Protect’s property rights.

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time, and will post the most current version on our website.

The Website may contain links to other websites operated by third parties. Please note that this Privacy Policy applies only to the personal information that we collect or receive from third parties with your consent and we cannot be responsible for personal information that third parties may collect, store and use, including through their websites. You should always read the privacy policy of each website you visit carefully.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time as we add new products and services, as we improve our current offerings, and as technologies change. If we make a change to this Privacy Policy this will be reflected in the above “Last Updated” date. We encourage you to check back periodically to see if we have made any changes. If we make any material or substantive changes in this Privacy Policy, we will notify you by posting a clear and conspicuous notice of these changes on the Website and in this Privacy Policy.

Access, correction and accountability

We will strive to keep all personal information in our files complete, up-to-date and accurate.

You or a person authorized on your behalf has the right to request to see and obtain a copy of your personal information and to request changes or corrections to inaccurate or incomplete information.
